What is hepatic adenoma?
A
Benign neoplasm composed of normal hepatocytes with no portal tract, central veins or bile ducts

W ho gets Hepatic adenoma
A
More common in women
More common of oral contraceptives

Presentation?
A
Normally asymptomatic BUT possible RUQ pain
May present with rupture, haemorrhage or malignant transformation

Diagnosed by?
A
Often incidental finding (usually right lobe) US CT MRI FNA

Treatment?
A
Stop hormones
Males: surgical excision
Females: imaging after 6 months (>5cm= excision)
