Q

What are all the factors of ATP making it a good universal energy source

A

Releases energy in small amounts

It is easily hydrolysed in one step to release adp pi and energy

When energy is released from reactions or by proton gradients it can be rapidly resynthesised from ADP and Pi

It cannot keav through cell membranes

It phosphorylates other compounds making them more reactive
