What happens to station lighting during a LOP?
A
- Standby lighting batteries can last for at least 1 hour during a LOP.
- Essential lighting busses will be reenergized when the EDG starts up (Non-1E bkr does not trip when power is lost).
- Standby self contained battery unit lights are good for 8 hours.
- Normal lighting loses power when power to non-1e busses is lost.

What happens to station lighting during a LOCA?
A
In a LOCA, the non-1e bus to which the essential lighting system is connected will be automatically switched off by tripping their isolating devices and must be re-energized manually.

What are the components of Standby Lighting?
A
- Stairwells, DW, and exit signs.
- 125VDC system provides normal power to the standby lighting inverters.
- During a LOP, batteries are able to supply power for four hours.
