Main Steam - 1.0 Flashcards
Which SRV’s are able to be operated remotely and from where?
- RSP – Mr. Frank Hughes (‘B’ Solenoid) F, H, M
- Lower Relay Room – Albert Einstein (‘B’ Solenoid) A and E
- 1120 mechanical set – J. Lo Puerto Rican Girl G, J, L, P, and R
What are the SRV lift setpoints?
- 1130 – A, B, C, D, & E
- 1120 – G, L, P, J, & R
- 1108 – F, H, K, & M
Closes 55-100# below setpoint
What are the power supplies for the SRV solenoids?
*BD417 Powers all SRV’s except P which is powered from DD417
*BD417 (A Solenoid) and DD417 (B Solenoid) Powers ADS SRVs (A,B,C,D,E)
What is the function of the SRV tailpipe vacuum breaker?
SRV Tailpipes have two vacuum breakers each.
1. Open at .5 psid to prevent drawing water into the SRV tailpipe. Vent into DW.
What are the MSIV closure setpoints?
- Rx Level 1 (-129”)
- High Steam Line Flow 140% rated (162.8 psid)
- High Steam Line Tunnel Temp (160F)
- Low Main Condenser Vacuum (21.5” HgA)
- Low Main Turbine Inlet Pressure (756 psig w/ mode switch in run)
What does a turbine trip open?
Steam Lead Startup Drain
A-D TSV Before Seat Drains
TCV Before Seat Drains
Steam Lead after TCV (1-4) Drains
Cross Around Pipe Drains
What are the Lo-Lo Set setpoints?
1047# - P & H Arm, P Opens
1017# - H Opens
935# - P Closes
905# - H Closes
* Initially, both will open at 1047 since H is above its setpoint.
What is required to open and close MSIV’s?
Both channels of RPS.
What is the purpose of the Steam Line Flow restrictors?
- Senses flow.
- Limits the rate of coolant loss from the Rx following a steam line rupture. The coolant loss is limited such that the reactor vessel water level remains above the TAF (-161”), during the time required for the MSIV’s to close.
How can the Low Vacuum signal be bypassed?
The low vacuum signal can be bypassed by the use of keylock switches IF the TSV valves are < 90% open.
What is the purpose of the SRV accumulators?
SRV Accumulators designed for two actuations against a DW pressure of 43.4 psig.
When do the Steam Lead after Control Valves 3 & 4 shut?
HV- 1018 A/B auto close when #4 TCV leaves shut seat.
What are the different acoustic monitoring I-C-T switch positions for?
- T (Threshold): Represents the acoustic value at which the valve is considered open.
- C (Count): The number of times that the valve has opened since the circuit was last reset.
