Q

What is the purpose of the Steam Line Flow restrictors?

A
  • Senses flow.
  • Limits the rate of coolant loss from the Rx following a steam line rupture. The coolant loss is limited such that the reactor vessel water level remains above the TAF (-161”), during the time required for the MSIV’s to close.
