Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer Flashcards
Describe the makeup of the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer.
A. Consists of 2 identical redundant analyzer packages.
1. Each of which contain:
* Hydrogen analyzer cell.
* Oxygen analyzer cell.
What are the locations that the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer can sample from?
- High Drywell Head Area
- Low Drywell Cylindrical Area
- Suppression Chamber air space
Where do the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer samples go when complete?
Torus area
What is the power supply for the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer?
1E powered (10B212/10B222) A/B channel
What are the auto isolations for the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer?
- RPV Level 2 (-38”)
- Drywell pressure (1.68psig)
- Reactor Building Exhaust (1x10-3 uci/cc)
How does the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer detect concentration?
Uses thermal conductivity of gases to detect concentration
What is added to the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer regularly?
Must add O2 to have enough to recombine all free H2
What valves are affected by the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer auto isolate?
DW Dome (Head) Sample Isolation Valves
DW Sample (Cylindrical) Isolation Valves
Torus Sample Isolation Valves
Sample Return Isolation Valves
Can the valves that are auto isolated in the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer system be reopened?
All these valves can be overridden open with an isolation signal present using pushbuttons on 10C650E. Valves are CIVs and are outside containment.
What is used to regulate sample temperatures for the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzers?
Sample Lines Heat Traced for proper operation (1E powered – 10B232/10B242) C/D channel
Describe normal operations for the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer.
Warm-up takes 6 hours. Initial start from STBY takes 90 minutes (recirc). Ten minutes to transfer between sample points.
What alarms are associated with the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer?
- High H2 Alarm 2%
- High O2 Alarm 4.25%
What is the supplementary O2 analyzer for with reference to the Hydrogen/Oxygen Analyzer?
Supplementary O2 analyzer is for weekly containment O2 concentration ONLY
