Sex with more than one partner, greater the risk of infection

What is the difference of protection of latex condoms and other birth methods?
Latex condoms are the only form of birth control that reduces the risk of an STI, if used correctly every time
Other methods prevent pregnancy, but NOT from STIs
Who are high risk partners?
With a history of sexual encounters
Injected illegal drugs
Ask about history before physical contact, as some STIs can be deadly
How can alcohol and drugs increase the risk?
Lowered inhibitions when under the influence that can hinder choice-making
