Bacteria, molds, or synthetic processes to create antibiotics
Type of antibiotic based on type and severity of infection
Orally or intravenously (through veins)
What are treatments for fungal infections?
Depends on severity and location of the fungal infection, antifungal meds
Orally or topically (where the infection is)
What are protozoan infection treatments?
Medications are specific to infection

Mixtures of parts or whole pathogens to prepare the body’s defenses
For bacterial and virus infections
Chickenpox, Diphtheria, Tetanus, etc.
What is active immunization?
Before getting an infection to cause the body to create defenses against the pathogen
What is passive immunization?
After possibly getting infected
Given to those with a weakened immune system or existing infection
