A

Zona glomerularis (outer)= produce Mineralocorticoids. (Na/K balance)

Zona fasciculata (middle)= Produce Glucocorticoids.

Zona reticularis (inner)= Produce Oestrogen, Testosterone, (some progesterone).

A

Often on medial side of cranial pole! NOT on the top! Normally embedded in a little bit of fat, larger than you would expect.

Location: Medial to cranial pole of kidney. Some species variations.
