A Serbian/Slavic nationalist group in the Balkans devoted to ending Austro-Hungary presence
Militarism
Aggressive military preparedness that celebrates war and the armed forces
secret alliances
groups that secretly agree to protect and attack for each other if needed
Triple Entente
Britain, France, and Russia’s alliance that viewed Germany as the enemy
Allies
An expanded version of the Triple Entente that included Italy, Japan, China, the US, and other countries once WWI began.
Triple Alliance
Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy’s alliance at the beginning of WWI. Italy was mostly neutral and later switched to the Allies

The Triple Alliance that removed Italy and now included the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria
