Series of executions of nobles, including the king and queen, after the French Revolution led by revolutionary group the Jacobins
Haiti
former French colony, a group of slaves and maroons led a slave revolt and it became the first and only country to gain independence via a slave revolt.

individuals who had escaped slavery and lived in independent black communities
Toussaint L’Ouverture
Haitian who became a general and led the maroons and slaves of Haiti in rebellion, succeeded, and became governor of Haiti

Prussian leader who manipulated Austria into joining three wars so he could claim more territory for Prussia and unify them all with nationalism to found the German Empire
immigration
the movement of people into a new country from other countries
Ottomanism
An attempt by the Ottoman government to minimize ethnic groups and promote Ottoman nationalism. Took over schools with standard curriculum. Actually just served to boost the nationalism of ethnic groups within the Ottoman Empire and fractured it even more.
