The process of renovating and improving decayed or run-down parts of an urban area. This is to try to attract new residents or businesses.

What are some approaches to urban revitalization?
Physical: Investments in infrastructure such as roads, parks, and public facilities. Efforts to improve the appearance and attractiveness of urban areas.
Economic: Attracting new businesses and investments. Providing incentives or business growth and supporting entrepreneurship.
Cultural: Promoting cultural events and attractions. Improving access to recreational facilities and green space.
Social: Addressing social and economic inequalities. Making affordable housing programs, job training, education programs, and community engagement.

Individuals who advocate for and promote the principles of new urbanism in planning and design.
