What are situation factors?
Locations surrounding a place (Describing a place in relation to other geographic features or places around it); describes relative location
What is urban sprawl?
The expansion of an urban or suburban area into the surrounding countryside.
What are price ceilings?
A government imposed limit on the prince of a product or services. The goal is to reduce the price of a product or service.
Rural vs. Urban
Rural settlements tend to be smaller than urban ones
Rural settlements tend to have a lower population density than urban ones
Rural settlements tend to be less culturally diverse in its population
What are some different factors that affect urban development?
Transportation - time-space compression, advancements
Communication - internet, people working from home
Economic - migration to urban areas. Higher prices from higher density.
