Q

(Tagalog)
When you look at a map of Germany, Berlin is at the top — in the northern area, upwards. Munich meanwhile is at the bottom — in the south, downwards. My family lives near Munich, in a province called Bavaria.

Thanks for watching my video!

Do you also speak German?

It’s delightful how many languages you know — you’re truly impressive, you’re admirable!

A

Q

(tagalog)
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I really admire you.

You’re so adorable! I just want to pinch your cheeks!

I’m sick and tired of this nonsense.
Why do you know how to speak Tagalog?

If I had to guess, I would say that I understand more than I can say in this language. I think it will take time for me to become more proficient, but I am in no hurry! Do you understand?

A

Naiintindihan mo ba?

(Tagalog)
If I remember correctly, you mentioned in one of your videos that you had a girlfriend before who taught you Tagalog, right?

That’s good (okay)! I’m pleased/happy to hear that!

I’m still a little shy about speaking Tagalog, because I still lack vocabulary!
Don’t make fun of me, okay? Don’t tease me, promise?

When did you start learning the language?

I’m really impressed, your Tagalog is amazing, very fluent, brother!

A

How popular are you in the Philippines? Did people recognize you on the street when you were there?

That’s really how life is, isn’t it? Where is your new girlfriend from?

You’re right, what you said is correct.

You live in Canada, right? So did you meet the girl here or in the Philippines? Are you still dating or did you get bored and move on?

I hope you have a good night, I enjoyed chatting with you.

A

tell me, I’m curious, compared to the rest of the world, on a scale of one to ten, how jealous are Filipinas?

If I remember correctly, you mentioned in one of your videos that you had a Filipina girlfriend before who taught you Tagalog?

That’s just how life is, isn’t it? Where is your new girlfriend from?

Seriously, I don’t deserve that kind of praise! When I speak Tagalog, I feel like I’m as awkward as an elephant trying to dance!

A

That’s good! I’m happy to hear that!

That’s nice (fun)! That’s good news!

By the way, I have a question, are you a crispy pork? Aren’t you going to ask why? you don’t care why?

Why? You’re noisy you know, when you are being eaten by me.

Good luck!

A

Ayos ’yan! Natutuwa ako na marinig ’yan!

Buti naman! Masaya ako na marinig ’yan!

Saya naman! Ang ganda ng balita na ’yan!

I’m still a little shy about speaking Tagalog, because I still lack vocabulary!
Don’t make fun of me, okay? Don’t tease me, promise?

I rarely speak Tagalog because I don’t have many Filipino friends! So, talking to you is a great opportunity! Thanks for the lesson, teacher! Let’s become friends!

That’s good (okay)! I’m happy (pleased) to hear that! That’s good news.

Tagalog is really confusing! Just recently, my friend explained to me the difference between ‘I was eaten by the chicken’ and ‘I ate chicken.’ That’s so hard!

Don’t worry, I’m confident when it comes to talking!

A

Wag mo akong asarin, pangako? [ asaarin ]

I’m hungry now because you talked so much about food. Can you send some food here?

I hope you teach us complete sentences, instead of just individual words.

I’ll send you a plane ticket, you can fly to Vancouver tomorrow!

Just kidding, I don’t have any money, I’m just a poor Youtuber.

A

I learned that from a song

I don’t know many Filipinos so my Tagalog is very bad (2)

I’m going to sleep now, but take care and have a good day!

Did you just wake up?

I wish I could speak Tagalog like you, but I’m so busy, I don’t have much time to study.

bad (1)

A

I agree, you said it beautifully.

You’re right, what you said is correct.

Just talk to me in German, if your German word is wrong, I’ll teach you.

Spanish is an interesting language, don’t you think? I’ve been learning it since two thousand and seventeen.

Tagalog is difficult because its verbs are messy—it’s confusing and takes time to get used to. Do you understand?

A

Naiintindihan mo ba?

When you lived in Colombia, did you ever go to one of those ayahuasca ceremonies? Did you try the tea? I’ve heard it’s a crazy experience. I know a physical therapist who, for a long time, went to ayahuasca ceremonies once a month. He said the experience was better than going to a psychologist. It’s basically a group of people who get together to get high. I wouldn’t dare try it; I’ve heard too many stories of people going on a horrible trip and ending up vomiting.

A

Of course, I speak Spanish, I love this language! I started learning the language in 2017 because I really enjoy communicating with Latinos; they’re very friendly people. I’ve visited Spain, Cuba, and Mexico in the past, and of course, speaking Spanish is a huge advantage.

A
