Planning
This is the process of thinking about the activities and order required to achieve objectives and making a strategy/course of action. For example using planning tools such as to-do-lists or action plans.
Negotiation
Employees must be able to show confidence and be able to debate revised deadlines and request additional resources when necessary.
Organising
(future tasks)
Employees must be able to look ahead and identify future tasks that need to be undertaken or any resources they need and ensure everything is in the right place at the right time.
Directing
Some employees will be required to direct other employees to get the work done. This will involve leadership, communication, motivation and delegation.
Control
Employees must direct plans and workload by prioritising and monitoring progress. It means not being easily knocked off course when unexpected circumstances arise but being able to adapt or change direction quickly and precisely while keeping calm.
