Career Breaks
Different types of organisations offer different types of breaks. The most common examples are when women take time out to have a family or employees take an extended break to go travelling. The length of break may vary accordingly.
Unpaid Leave
If an employee wishes to take a certain amount of time off but has already used their full annual leave entitlement, the company may allow them to take the time off but they will not receive pay.
Case Loading
A shift in emphasis means the completion of a given workload is considered more important than working a set number of hours in a day. Therefore, where it is considered that the overall work of the organisation will not suffer, employees are often allowed to adopt more flexible working patterns.
Outsourcing
The organisation contracts another organisation to do a job for them - contracts them to perform the work.
