Based approach
help students with problems by stating lesson aims, checklists for topics, simplifying things, highlighting and colour coding
Have slower processing so to prevent phonological loop overload go slower when teaching
visuo-spatial sketchpad used instead of phonological loop by colour coordinating, avoid reading with students

teach them to understand how words are pronounced
Children = teach words sound like and individual letters
hearing and identifying to learn sounds. Systematically teach pupils written patterns and sounds taught differently
Adults = if struggle with coding
Phonix weakness
If have vocab and comprehension problems phonix cannot help
