WHat is the purpose of the RBCCW system?
Used to cool Reactor Auxiliary systems and related equipment and minimize release of radioactive material to the environs
How does RBCCW support controlling the release of radioactive materials?
Operates at a lower pressure than the loads it services - all leakage is into RBCCW.
Operates at a lower pressure thant Service water which provides the cooling for RBCCW, so RBCCW does not leak out.
How many “loops” of RBCCW are there and what is in each?

How is the RBCCW Water Temp Controlled?
Cooling Service Water flow controlled via TCV that is connected to Temp element on RBCCW water outlet of Hx
How many RBCCW SW TCVs are there and where are they in the system?
There is one TCV per Hx, located near SW inlet to Hx. TE located at RBCCW outlet
If 2 RBCCW Pumps are running, how many Hx must be in service?
2:
On each unit, there must be the same number of Hx and pumps in service.
If more Hx than pumps then pump load would approach runout
If More Pps thant Hx, then flow would exceed design capability of Hx and have excessive vibrations
How many RBCCW Pps are there and what are their power sources?

What is the rated capacity of the RBCCW Pps and the min flow?
Each Rated for 8800gpm at 80psig w/ 50% capacity.
Min flow is 900gpm
