Existential risks
The worst possible things that could happen to humanity, such as nuclear wars, global pandemic or rogue artificial intelligence, are human made.
I know many exotic animals lived there. We are far too clever to die out. Lots of the existential risks are human made. These threats could have catastrophic consequences for human survival in the 21st century.
Existential risks could threaten/destroy civilization as we know it, leaving pockets of survivors to struggle on in a post-apocalyptic world.
Historical record
The collection of all written & recorded past event concerning the human race.
The historical record suggests that about once every 1000 years an event occurs that wipe out about a third of the human population. The black death, huge plague.
Plague
Infections, epidemic diseases which spread between countries can quickly wipe out people.
We took a look @ the historical records & viewed bunch of plagues that happened around 100 years ago.
Wipe out
Simply means kill!

Doomsday
Another word, for final, apocalyptic day of the world’s existence.
What about individuals who actively work to bring about the end of the world- like apocalyptic terrorists, rampage shooters, & fundamentalist cults like those who organised the poisonous gas attacks on the Tokyo subway. Those are people who want to end human life on earth & bring about Doomsday.
False alarm
An incorrect warning given so that people wrongly believe sth dangerous is about to happen, or un founded warning.
There are some ways that you could get to a nuclear war without really intending to, & the biggest example is the false alarm … .
