A minefield is sth full of uncertainty & even danger.

They can be a bit of minefield.
This scene come from literal meaning, a field full of explosive landmines!

He says we need to communicate our intentions to each other & acknowledge our relationships.
Another aspect of greeting is to reduce tension.

We do “greetings” through the rituals.Like hello, shake hands and so on.

Originally it was just a shout to attract someone’s attention.

And we call this kinda shouting “hailing”
To hail is to greet someone loudly, especially from a distance.
