Neuroscience is the scientific study of the working of the human brain & nervous system.
I understand that you’ve been using tools of modern neuroscience to study anxiety & compasion.
Compassion
Depression, in contrast to positive attitudes such as compassion- that’s the wish for everyone to be free from suffering.
Compassionate thoughts, such as ‘may you be happy & peaceful’, ‘may you not suffer’ & the results were astonishing.
Very high levels of gamma oscillation- that’s brain waves showing increased connection between different parts of the brain.
Flash of insight
A moment of sudden understand & clarity aka ‘AHA’.
Very high levels of gamma oscillation - that’s brain waves showing increased connections between different parts of the brain. This is what we experience as flash of insight. This was proof of neuroplasticity.
The meditators gained insight into how our minds work.

Neuroplasticity
Our brains’s ability to change (to restructure) in response to conscious effort.
Very high levels of gamma oscillation, this is what we experience as flash of insight. This was proof of neuroplasticity. They were intentionally reshaping their brain circuits. It created enduring changes.

Different part of brain responsible for different functions.

They were intentionally reshaping their brain circuit. It created enduring changes.
Meditators gained insight into how their minds works. Maybe I’ll give meditation a go after all this.
