what were the new inventions of the time and what did they lead to?

people still used old ideas to explain disease. such as: god, four humours, miasma theory and witches.
why was this a time where there was a huge change in the monarchs power?
parliament had more power.

executing Charles 1 in 1649 and ruling England between 1649-1660.

nobles sat in the House of Lords.
