Essex regularly became to big for his boots and eventually led a rebellion against Liz and got executed in 1601.
he was liked by the queen as he had some great successes such as the raid on Cadiz in 1589 against Spanish but he went against the commands of Liz such as making peace with the Irish rebels in 1599.
