  1. Generalized Lymphadenopathy - LAD- T cell hyperplasia = Lymph node paracortex
  2. Splenomegaly = T-cell hyperplasia = Periarterial lymphatic sheath PALS
  3. High WBC - Atypical lymphocytes in the blood

A
  1. Detects IgM AB that reacts with horse/sheep red blood cells
  2. Turns positive within 1 week after infection
    3.A negative monospot test suggests- CMV cause in IM
    4.Definitve diagnosis = Serologic test = EBV viral capsid antigen
