What must we do to “remain in community/relationship with God”?
Abide in God
Why should we be ALONE at times with God?
So we can rest and be away from distractions

If you don’t care for yourself, you cannot properly care for and lead others to Christ or those you serve

to have great compassion for those in need

Gypsum- causes decay , horrible taste, burden to life

Null and void, empty and dark
What is the importance to the “city on a hill?”
The good that one does in the name of Jesus cannot be hidden
What did we learn regarding being “critical” of the world?
Don’t be critical of the world but be critical to the world. Don’t criticize the world but be important to the world.
Explain what Jesus meant when he used the vine and branch as his metaphor for what it means to abide.
We are the branch and Jesus is the vine and we have to abide in him to bear fruit. We need to keep community and be in relationship with Jesus in order for us to display the fruits of the spirit and bring other to God.
Is abiding/resting/living Sabbath a call to be lazy? Why or why not?
No because Jesus rested so we should be able to rest too. Resting is important for us so we can properly care for and lead others to Christ or those we serve
