a measure of warehouse capacity in a given period the total volume or raw materials processed by a plant, such as oil refinery, in a given period.

the entire route from origin to destination.
through route
the practice of providing grants and/or concessional loans, either alone or combined with export credits, linked to procurement from a donor country
Tied Aid Credit
equivalent to 42 cubic feet.
timber shipping ton
a horizontal division of a ship, from bottom to highest deck, which indicates the placement of containers.
tier
reload transport of goods protected by a tilting canvas or similar materials.
tilt transport
unit of weight and measurement for timber, such as standard (Petrograd) or 165 cubic feet, board feet, or 1/12 cubic feet and mile (1,000 board feet) or 83.3 cubic feet.
timber measurement
number of days a ship is on sea voyage, or while passing through canals.
time at sea
a charter contract wherein a shipper hires a ship over a certain period. The shipper pays all costs necessary for the operation of the ship (e.., provisions, spare parts, insurance, repair, maintenance bunkers, dues, fees, etc.). The charterer acts like a carrier but does not have full control of the ship.
time charter
a type of draft wherein a buyer can obtain the goods simply by accepting the draft, and car defer payment for 30,60, or 90 days, or even longer, as agreed upon by the seller and the buyer. Same as usance draft
time draft
time spent by the ship for loading and discharge of cargoes, entering or leaving a port, and waiting time. This includes canal transit time.
time in port
the date the carrying vessel actually sails from the last port of call of the exporting country.
time of exportation
a marine insurance policy that insures a vessel for a definite period.
time policy
a document signed by the ship’s master, charterer, consignee, or their respective agents, indicating the actual time spent for loading and unloading of cargoes. This is vital to computation of demurrage or dispatch money.
time sheet
a value created in a product when it becomes available on demand. Transportation and warehousing factors, for example, create time utility.
time utility
