Revenue tariffs
all sums of money received by government through taxation, in shipping operations, the sum of all freights paid each shipment. It is collected either through direct cargo method, wherein the freight rate is multiplied by the volume of cargo shipped, or through surcharge method, which is the imposition of special charge computed as a percentage of freight rate to cover any increase in shipping cost.
