a document issued by an appropriate government agency certifying that a prohibited article has been temporarily allowed entry to a port upon compliance with certain conditions.
certificate of exemption
a document issued by Customs to attest to the fact that an exported shipment has been identified at the port of embarkation.
certificate of identification
a certificate indicating that the goods are normally sold in open market and approved by the regulatory authority in the country of origin
certificate of free sale
a document certifying that a merchandise (such as perishable goods) was in good condition immediately prior to shipment
certificate of inspection
a document issued by a trade control examiner certifying that the examined articles conform with the required standard for the manufacture of local products
certificate of inspection
a document that serves as evidence of insurance of a shipment. Prepared by the insured or the insurance firm in favor of the buyer or a bank, it contains an abstract of the vital conditions in the insurance policy.
certificate of insurance or special policy
a document issued by the port authority abroad attesting to the fact that it has received the shipment from another-country
certificate of landing
a document issued by the Customs to attest to the fact that an export shipment has been loaded on a carrier.
certificate of loading
a document (often notarized) in which a producer certifies that manufacturing has been completed and that the goods are at the buyer’s disposal
certificate of manufacture
a document issued by the builder of a ship certifying that her build conforms to the specifications and standards set by the maritime authority.
certificate of master builder
a certificate sent by the consignee to the carrier confirming that the cargo, or part of it, has not been received. This document is vital to filing of insurance claim.
certificate of non-receipt
a document that establishes the nationality, country, of origin, or country of manufacture of imported goods. It is submitted by the importer or broker to Customs when availing preferential treatment (such as less tariff rate) in accordance with bilateral, regional or multilateral trade agreements.
certificate of origin
a document that shows the nationality of the incorporators, partners, and owners of a shipment of vessel.
certificate of ownership
a government authority issued to a public utility operator, assigning a fixed or chartered route, the rates to be charged, and the type of passengers to be served. It is issued it no special government franchise is required.
certificate of public convenience
an authority given by an appropriate government agency to a common carrier, which must prove that a public need exist and that the carrier is fit, willing and able to provide the service. It limits the commodities the carrier may haul, the area it may serve; and the routes it may use. It is issued if operations require special use of government property.

a kind of Charter Approved by the Chamber of Shipping of the United Kingdom, generally used to transport of grains
