a Customs post entry audit is a post release (of goods) evaluation of relevant company practices and records to help make a judgement about the integrity of information supplied to customs at the time of entry lodgments in particular, the audit will verify the truthfulness or accuracy of the declared customs value and tariff classification of imports. it will also allow an assessment of the importer’s exercise of due diligence and its anticipated customs compliance level. To ensure transparency, objectivity, and accountability, the audit mode follows a well-defined set to processes and standards, from audit selection to notification, to pre-audit conference, to audit proper, to exit conference, to audit reporting and implementation.
