the process by which a country adheres to an international agreement, such as the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.
accession
one who, having knowledge of the commission of a crime and without having participated therein, either as principal or accomplice, takes part subsequent to its commission by profiting himself or assisting the offender to profit by the effects of the crime. For one to be held liable as an accessory, it is essential that he must have knowledge of the commission of the crime.
accessory
is any article designed to be used in connection with such vehicle to add to its utility or ornamentation and which is primarily adapted for such use whether or not essential to the operation of the vehicle.
accessory of vehicle
a charge collected by the carrier for cargo pick-up, loading, unloading and delivery.
accessorial charge
a document in which one party pledges his reputation so that another can borrow money without collateral.
accommodation note
pertains to an arrangement made as a favor to another, not upon a consideration received. It differs from a guarantee in that guarantee refers to promise to answer the debt of another, in case the latter fails to do so.

the party who signs an accommodation note for the benefit of another.

transport of road vehicles by another means of carriage (e.g. train, ferry), accompanied by their drivers.
accompanied transport
to cause to be attended by or as by a companion; to go along with; to consort with. An affidavit of merit may be considered as having “accompanied” a motion for relief when the same is later filed with the court before the latter could pass upon the merit of said motion.

An original bill of lading surrendered to the carrier at the port of destination in exchange for the goods covered therein.
