classify
also known as commodity classification rate, it is a freight rate that applies to certain goods within or between certain geographical locations.
class rate
a clause in a charter contract which provides that the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act (CGSA) applies where any term of the bill of lading is contrary to CGSA or applicable law. Then the bill of lading provision becomes void.

a charter contract with no unusual terms, or no deductions are made from the freight, except for broker’s fees and commission, or where there is no change in the parties thereto.
