What are task orientated goals?
Concerned with improvement of technique or performance
Can be met without winning or achieving outcome goal
What is the benefit of task orientated goals?
Motivation can still be maintained with a loss
What is a performance goal?
When an athlete sets a goal to better their own performance without comparison to others
This can be judged against previous performance or a specific part of their performance (sprint start)
What is a process goal?
Based on improving technique
