  • asses resp status before and after
  • multiple inhalers: use bronchodilators first, anitcholingerics, followed by corticosteroids
  • teach proper inhaler use
  • avoid with atropine and belladonna alkaloids allergies
  • pt. report low urine output
  • have pt. be checked for glaucoma

  • instruct in proper inhaler use
  • take missed doses as soon as remembered unless it almost time for next dose
  • rinse mouth, suck on gym or sugarless hard candy to avoid dry mouth
  • do not exceed 12 doses in 24 hours
  • call provider if symptoms do not improve in 30 mins
  • notify your provider if you have nervousness, headache, dizziness, nausea
