- hypersensitivity

- phenytoin, digoxin, warfarin and ciprofloxacin (decreased absorption)
- antacids (interfere with effects)

A
- monitor for frank or occult blood in stool
- admin on an empty stomach, 1hr ac and hs
- shake suspension well
- admin 30min before or after antacids
- store at room temp

- take therapy for 4-8 weeks even if feeling better to be sure the ulcer has healed
- increase fluid intake fiber and dietary bulk to prevent constipation
- follow uo with your gi specialist to monitor your progress
