Unavailability due to external factors outside the scope of the company’s ability to plan or control, and late reporting of sickness

What can you do if the SCCM becomes incapacitated after departure from the originating base?

A

The most appropriately qualified cabin crew member will be assigned to act as SCCM in order to complete the flight or series of flights.

If there are no qualified SCCMs the next most experienced crew member may assume the position of interim SCCM, and this must be agreed with the commander

In the event that the SCCM becomes unfit to operate downroute, what requirements must the interim SCCM have?

A

Minimum 12months’ experience as an operating cabin crew member (not necessarily with easyJet) and a minimum of 20 sectors on type

SCCM shall familiarise themselves with SCCM specific duties prior to departure

When an SCCM becomes incapacitated downroute, can you depart a transit base (easyJet base which is not the originating base) still using the interim SCCM?

A

Yes, providing no SCCM is available at the transit base, the series of flights can continue to the originating base with the interim SCCM
