What is the difference between the HYD RAT MAN ON pb and the EMER ELEC RAT MAN ON pb?

A

Hydraulic pb lowers the RAT, which pressurises the blue system.

The EMER ELEC one does that, and also connects the emergency generator

Will an engine 2 failure cause an immediate loss of yellow system?

A

Not immediate as the system still has enough power until N2 goes down to 8% ish. Power reduces around 13%. Windmilling can cause the system to remain powered

A

Never. Only when the guarded RAT MAN ON pb is selected

The PTU is energised. When it is reapplied, the PTU is deenergised
