Q

Where is information from lavatory smoke detectors send?

A

CIDS (not FWC straight away) which is why failed CIDS is a no-go item on MEL

Q

What extinguishing do we have in the lavatory?

A

Lavatory bin has automated system, based on temperature detection. It should automatically discharge directly into the bin

Q

What information do pilots get if the lavatory autoextinguisher has discharged?

A

None, however the agent may lead to the smoke detection

Cabin crew should spot it on their toilet checks

Q

What is the logic of the cargo hold smoke detection loops?

A

If both of them detect smoke

Or if one failed and other one detects smoke

Information then sent to CIDS, then onto FWC, generating master warning

Q

How many extinguishing bottles do we have for each cargo hold?

A

There is only one bottle, shared between the two. We can only fire it into one of the holds

Q

What is the threat when dealing with smoke which is detected in the cargo hold?

A

That you fire the agent into the wrong hold. Both buttons are guarded, so need cross-confirmation between pilots

16
Q

Does the avionics smoke issue a warning or a caution?

A

Caution only

17
Q

Where can you cross-confirm avionics smoke ECAM?

A

FAULT LIGHT on EXTRACT and BLOWER push buttons, and smoke on GEN 1 LINE

18
Q

Do we have extinguishing in the avionics?

A

No - the mitigation is the avionics smoke/fumes QRH checklist
