Introduction to the drug
A
Tenecteplase activates the fibronolytic system, inducing the breaking up of intravascular thrombi and emboli. In simple terms it helps the body produce a substance that dissolves unwanted blood clots.

- Vials 10,000 units for reconstitution with 10ml water for injection
- Vials 8,000 units for reconstitution with 8ml water for injection

A
- Acute STMI elevation within 6hrs of the onset where PPCI is NOT available

A
- Administer a bolus injection of Heperin before Tenectaplase
<60kg = 6000units 60-69kg = 7000units 70-79kg = 8000units 80-89kg = 9000units >90kg = 10000units
