Pharmacodynamics
A
- Ergometrine and oxytocin cause the uterus to contract
- Ergometrine acts on the 5HT receptors which cause the muscles to contract
- Cause constrictions on vessels
- Oxytocin stimulates constriction of smooth muscle

- Nausea and vomitting
