What is feedback?
A process whereby learners obtain information about their work in order to appreciate the similarities and differences between the appropriate standards for any given work, and the qualities of the work itself in order to generate improved work
What are some interpersonal factors of giving feedback?
Intentions of the learner
Characteristics of and the relationship between learner/teacher
What are the different levels of giving feedback?
Task - factual information that is task specific
Process - structure, synthesising, referencing
Self-regulation - supporting self assessment
Self - praise/critiquing general intelligence, best avoided!
What are some influencing factors on feedback?

What are the different types of feedback seekers?
Learning goal orientated
Performance goal orientated
What does learning goal orientated mean?
A desire to learn new skills, master new tasks, understand new things (Growth mindset)
What does performance goal orientated mean?
Wanting to recieve positive judgements of your competence and avoiding negative ones (Fixed mindset)
What are feedback seeking behaviours - how is it best to ask for feedback?
