Currently, plant-based meats are valued at about three percent of the the value of the beef market and even with a predicted growth rate of six percent over the next five years, the market share for plant-based meats will continue to be small

The use of hybrid meat products utilizing both plant and animal based protein sources has the potential to balance contributions from the two sources and may receive better consumer acceptance
