Causative Agent

Epidemiology
contracted through :
(1) inhalation
(2) medical equipment (i.e. ventilators)
typically infect:
(1) very young or very old
(2) immunocompromised people
characteristic
more tissue damage than pneumococcal pneumonia
Treatment
antibiotics
pathogenosis

2-gain access to lungs via inhaled air and mucus
