Lots more cells and differentiate into different types of cells
Where can stem cells be found?
Early human embryos and they are called embryonic stem cells, these cells can turn into any kind of cell at all
where are adult stem cells?
in the bone marrow which can only produce a certain type of specialised stem cell, these cells can be cloned to be tested for research or medicine
what can embryonic cells be used for?
to replace faulty cells in sick people. it is possible to make an embryo that has the same genes as a patient, which is called therapeutic cloning
what are the risks of using stem cells in medicine?
Stem cells could be infected by a virus and it could be passed on to make the patient sicker
