the tasks did not make much sense, younger children performed better and the reason the children did not do as well was because of how unusual the tasks were- suggests that children’s thinking develops earlier than Piaget’s predicted

By 11 years they she be capable of logical thinking. The card task illustrates abstract vs concrete thinking, it was tested on undergraduate students within Leeds only 2 out of 16 people got it right which suggests piaget was too optimistc on what 11 year olds can do and even some adults that have gone through all of the stages of development could not figure out the task
