Something that destroys weeds but leaves the plants unharmed

What is eutrophication ?
A
When nutrients get’s into the water, then this helps the algae grow and blocks the sunlight and then the plants die and so does the algae. bacteria digests the dead plants using up remaining oxygen and producing carbon dioxide
