Q

Strength there is evidence for the different stores, Major strength is that the model is supported by the study that show Short term memory and Long term memory are different, Baddeley found that we mix up words that sound similar when using Short term memory, But we mix up words with similar meaning in Long term memory. This shows that coding in Short term memory is acoustic and in long term memory is semasntic

Q

Weakness is model is too simple. Multistore suggests that we have a long term memory and a short term memory but however researchers have shown these are separate parts. Short term memory is divided into visual and acoustic and Long term memory is divided into episodic, semantic and procedural, which suggests that memory is more complex than the multi store model
