-Lactulose: appendicitis, acute surgical abdomen, fecal impaction, intestinal obstruction

- Lactulose: diabetes
- Magnesium: Renal insufficiency
- Polyethylene glycol: seizures

Adverse effects
A
- GI: diarrhea, abdominal cramping, bloating, nausea, dehydration; dry mouth
- CNS: dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, weakness
- Sweating, palpitations, flushing, fainting
