- Monitor patient’s BP, cardiac rhythm, and CO closely
- If a patient is on a long-term therapy, regularly monitor BP and cardiac rhythm
- Provide pt teaching

- Evaluation patient response to the drug (alleviation of signs and symptoms of heart failure)
- Monitor for adverse effects
