Fluid pressure Flashcards

1
Q

how does atmospheric pressure change

A

it is created on surface by colliding air molecules, as altitude increases atmospheric pressure decreases as less dense so fewer molecules collide with surface and fewer above surface so weight decrease with altitude

Q

what is the pressure of the fluid due to

A

density - more particles in volume so collide pressure higher

depth - number of particles above point increase so weight increase increasing fluid pressure
