Sensorimotor - Birth to 2, child learns to manipulate the environment in order to meet physical needs and learns to
coordinate sensory input with motor actions.
Preoperational - 2 to 7, (symbols and selfishness) characterized by symbolic thinking and egocentrism.
Concrete operational - 7 to 11, (conservation and others perspectives) children can understand conservation and consider the perspectives of others.
Formal operational - 11, (Logic and abstract) the ability to think logically about abstract ideas
