What is the function of the infinitive absolute when in conjunction with finite verbs of the same root?
To underscore or reinforce the meaning of the finite verb (‘indeed’, ‘surely’)
What does it look like when two infinitives absolute follow a finite verb?
Finite verb + two infinitives absolute joined by the conjunction waw, with the first infinitive is from the same root as the finite verb
What is a purpose clause?
A clause that in English begins with ‘so that’ or ‘in order to/that’
How is a purpose clause formed with a yiqtol or cohortative?
Conjunction waw followed by yiqtol or cohortative; sometimes introduced by לְמַעַן + the yiqtol
